“Thanks
for the great read. As a mum of a 4-year-old boy
and 2-year-old girl, and 71/2 months pregnant
with the third, it's just what I needed to read.”
Kasia

Montessori
education
Each
time I visit one of my kids' classrooms I am impressed by how a
large group of children can work together, some individually and
some in groups, with such concentration and enthusiasm, and respect
for each other and for their environment. The mainstream school
system (and society in general) really could learn much from the
concepts in the Montessori model.
This book
by a Montessori parent
gives an excellent (and entertaining) explanation of this educational style:

Skat Kats

These amazing
musical kids and adult musicians, including George Washingmachine,
Jimmy Barnes, Troy Cassar-Daley, Elana Stone and James Morrison, are
playing their funky, jazzed-up nursery rhymes to raise
funds for the growing number of children with brain tumours who are
in danger of losing support services at the Sydney Children's Hospital
Randwick due to loss of ongoing private funding. See
www.skatkats.com
for details.
